YG-1 Expands Indexable Drill ‘X-Drill’ Holder Size Range
Expanding Holder Size range to Achieve a Wider Machining Range with the X-Drill YG-1 has announced the expansion of the holder size range for its 4-corner indexable drill insert, the X-Drill, to respond to customer demand. This enhancement aims to provide a broader machining range and a more comprehensive customer selection.The X-Drill holders feature a twisted internal coolant channel design and optimized flute surface treatment technology, providing stable machining life and precise machining dimensions. For metric sizes, the range has increased to 14.5mm-28.5mm. For inch sizes, the range has expanded to .594" -1.125".The X-Drill inserts are designed with wave-shaped cutting edges that allow using all four corners without interference. Notably, the inserts' identical internal and external geometry enables the use of both sides, offering optimal tool efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The unique chip breaker design of the X-Drill inserts achieves smooth chip evacuation and high productivity through an optimal cutting-edge arrangement.The new grade YG713 has been meticulously developed to optimize the X-Drill's performance, providing a more stable tool life than conventional grades.
