Features More Standard Sizes and New 6 Flute Chip Splitter Style High Performance End Mills YG-1 has strengthened its "V7 Plus A" carbide endmill line with addition of 6 Flute Chip Splitter line for conventional and advanced milling strategies. The new solution, along with the entire V7 Plus A line is now featured in the latest 2020 version of catalog for inch size endmills. The New "V7 Plus Chip Splitter" reduces vibrations and increases chip evacuation capability to deliver outstanding machining performance. The optimized chip splitter design shortens the length of the chips into approximately 1/3 versus traditional end mills, which leads to excellent chip evacuation and surface finish, especially in cuts where Axial Depth of Cut is greater than 3XD. The shortened chips also provide the customer a benefit in helping to get the chips away from the workpiece without clogging conveyor systems, or causing the operator to take extra time removing “bird nest” chip piles. V7 Plus A carbide endmills from YG-1 feature an unequal index design and geometry are optimized high volume milling of Steel, Stainless Steel, Cast Iron and Exotic Materials.
