"Combo Tap" Provides Stable Threading with Unique Structure of Screw Thread
"Combo Tap" is one of YG-1’s representative multi-purpose tap made of HSS-E and HSS PM for stainless steels machining which is created by our own high technology. YG-1 developed a new structure of thread screw and this unique geometry is applied to combo tap so currently, it is globally recognized as showing the highest level of stability among taps. This special geometry of combo tap prevents over and under feeding, and holds constant threading quality by avoiding oversized threading. Furthermore, it features cutting edge treatment of thread and chamfer areas that increases wear resistance and optimal thread length is long enough to tap even over 2.5D. Combo Tap is also designed as spiral flute and spiral point to provide the excellent chip evacuation, and variety of these types include features such as internal coolant, short chamfer and long shank.
