YG-1 will showcase its latest tooling technologies at EMO, taking place in Hannover, Germany, from September 22 to 26, and is set to capture the attention of visitors. This article highlights the key features of the new products that will be introduced at the exhibition.

Solid Carbide Dream Drill X with RCH-Coating: With the advanced RCH-coating technology, Dream Drill X represents a significant leap forward in drilling tool performance. It offers exceptional wear resistance, high heat endurance, and chipping protection.
Indexable Drill X-Drill SYMX: A new captive type of X-Drill, SYMX maximizes cost-efficiency and versatility by fully utilizing all four corners and enabling the same insert for both the center and periphery. Its twisted coolant channels and surface-treated flutes provide optimal chip evacuation, stable machining, precise dimensional accuracy, and excellent hole quality. The holder size range has now been expanded to 14.5mm – 50mm.

HSS-PM Prime Tap with Forming and Internal Coolant series: Prime Tap is a high-performance multipurpose tap for CNC machining in various ductile materials, offering excellent heat and wear resistance with its proprietary X-coating. The newly expanded forming tap series with internal cololant offers chip-free threading, minimizing machining interruptions and reducing downtime.

HSS-PM & Solid Carbide YG Tap Cast Iron: Designed for machining cast iron and cast aluminum, the YG Tap Cast Iron has been expanded with straight flute taps made of HSS-PM and Solid Carbide. These additions are optimized for high-volume production in the automotive and hydraulic component industries, delivering extended tool life.

Premium Solid Carbide End Mill X1-EH: X1-EH is designed for high-accuracy fine-finishing in hardened steels offering exceptional surface finishes and tool life. Its advanced C-coating provides superior wear and heat resistance, while its tight tolerance and h4 shanks deliver precise machining. Now X1-EH covers more applications with 3-,4-,6- and 8-flute additions along with more geometry options, all targeting materials HRc 50-70.
Solid Carbide End Mill Alu-Power: Several 2- and 3-flute series now start at 1.0 mm in diameter, significantly broadening the range from the previous minimum of 3.0 mm. YG SM3 MILL TPKT: This 3-corner positive 90˚ shoulder milling insert is engineered for smooth cutting with reduced force, featuring a high-helix cutting edge and positive rake angle for optimal chip formation. It now includes TPCT-AL inserts for aluminum machining and comes in 07 insert sizes.
YG SM6 MILL WNEX: This 6-corner negative 90˚ shoulder milling insert is designed for high economic efficiency and high productivity. Its sharp cutting edges reduce cutting forces and vibrations, while the curved cutting edge minimizes mismatch during stepped milling. The wide wiper flat ensures an excellent surface finish, and the chip groove design enhances smooth chip evacuation. It now includes 04 insert sizes and a new aluminum geometry with 6 cutting edges.
YG TM4 MILL LNKU: It is a 4-corner, 90˚ tangential milling insert designed to enhance productivity in various milling applications. It features a high rake angle for reduced cutting forces, a wide wiper for superior surface finish, and an elongated cutting edge for deep cuts.
YG904 Milling Grade: YG904 PVD coated milling grade is YG-1’s first choice for difficult-to-cut materials with high reliability. Its special substrates provide excellent reliability by heat resistance and chipping resistance.

YG3125 Turning Grade: Combining a specially developed substrate with advanced coating technology, YG3125 is positioned as a reliable choice for users who are seeking enhanced productivity in steel turning applications. It is great solution for both continuous and interrupted cuts.
YG2035 Turning Grade: YG2035 CVD coated turning grade is optimized for stainless steel applications with higher alloying elements such as duplex and super duplex steel. It is optimized for lower cutting speeds and interrupted cuts.
YG1020 Turning Grade: YG1020 CVD coated turning grade is optimized for various ductile cast iron applications. It offers stability and wear resistance for both continuous and interrupted cuts. YT100G Cermet Turning Grade: A new cermet PVD coated turning grade, YT100G, delivers excellent surface finish and outstanding wear resistance.
PCBN Insert: YG-1’s brand-new PCBN turning inserts are optimized for hardened steel. Four different uncoated or coated PCBN grades cover a wide range of applications, from continuous to light and medium interrupted cuts in machining hardened materials.
GL & GM & RG Turn-Groove Insert Chip Breakers: These double-ended inserts are designed for multitasking machining applications involving external and internal grooving, face grooving, turning, and parting off. The GL chip breaker is well-suited for turn groove and grooving, offering low cutting force and excellent chip evacuation. The GM chip breaker is suitable for turning, grooving, and face turn groove, providing stable edge strength and a comprehensive cutting range. The RG chip breaker, a full radius insert, offers versatility in profile machining applications. Now insert sizes are available in widths of 5mm to 8mm.
